First guided duck success!
« on: December 06, 2015, 10:57:29 AM »
Went on a guided duck hunt yesterday over on Central Washington. This was my first time doing this and it was awesome! Never really thought I would pay for a hunt but decided to try it this year with some friends and do some side work to pay for it. The birds were not super hot but they trickled in all morning and we got a mixed bag of 27 birds one shy of a 4 man limit. Had some geese come in too but there was some missed opportunities due to bad shooting.

I'd say if you are on the fence about this just do it! At least once I learned a lot and had a great time

Which guide outfit did you use?
Cut em!
It's not the shells!  It's the shooter!

We went with Pacific wings, the guide was working pretty hard to bring birds in. And even though we were shooting like crap he didn't say anything  :chuckle:

Hunted that blind last year on the opener-wish I could get access to a property like that.  Pacific Wings is top notch.

What kind of coffee do they serve in the blinds? Just curious.
