Small Game, Charles Pack Forest, Eatonville
« on: December 07, 2015, 08:10:29 AM »
Good morning!

Any idea on how good Charles Pack would be for small game this time of year?  I'm looking to take a buddy hiking and hopefully stumble upon a snack to pack out; be it squirrels, wrascly wrabbits, or the not-so-likely grouse.  All we have is a small game license.

From what I've read, walking the trails/roads is the best approach.  But I've also read about peeps having their trucks prowled while they're in.

Any suggestions?  Maybe a different area that is not so far from Eatonville...?

Thanks, everyone.   :hello:

Yeah, lucky7, I saw those two closures, too.  A couple of smaller zones on the eastern side.  Still interested in what I can expect.  Maybe it's not a popular place.  If I sees something, I guess that would be the bonus.

not sure about the closures, but I've seen grouse in there. I think generally it closes at the end of the year to firearms, which sucks because I've called coyotes in there several times in the winter. Lots of coyotes btw, but tough to hunt them.
