It is pretty fun to look for shows in the dark with waves washing 200 yards up the beach!

It is pretty fun to look for shows in the dark with waves washing 200 yards up the beach!

That's an adventure I've done many times.  One tip, it seems to get real quiet right before a big wave comes. I don't know if it's because the big waves block the sound of all the smaller waves, or the big waves come farther up the beach before they crash. But if you are digging in the dark and it gets eerily quiet....... Be ready to run!

But this dig, there is no reason you can't get your clams while it's still light. The tides are early enough. The last day might be a little iffy depending on how the clams are showing.
