Where are the quail?
« on: November 28, 2015, 07:49:12 PM »
Hi,

It looks like some people are having success which is good but my dog and I tried a couple spots near Moses that usually have a few birds and then a few fields along the Yakima River and we have seen zero quail so far this year.

Anyone feeling the Christmas spirit and willing to share?  :)

Thanks,

JG

Yes, get a rez permit. I have not even hit my private properties yet because I am finding so many birds on ffth land. Get your map, focus on water courses, and root em out. My best spot was tilled under last spring and is not available to hunt this year. It was literally the garbage dump for the town of Wapato.

Thanks dudes!  I havent hunted the rez in many moons but have had a few good hunts there in the past.  Shot my first duck on the rez when we were hunting upland and discovered the joys of jumpshooting ducks when hunting quail/pheasant.

Good luck the rest of the season!

Opie and I found them this weekend... not on the Rez but right next door.  He did great!  Wish I was a better shot but we had fun... it was tough to go home to the rat race.  Those times out there are the best.
