Waterproof Gloves
« on: December 14, 2015, 02:13:23 PM »
First off...thank you for all the help with my first Washington hunting season.  Although I will likely be eating tag soup unless I can go chase bts one more time before the end of the year, I learned a lot.  One of the things I wanted to figure out was if my gear worked as well here as it did in the South.  I think my color patterns on the camo are good (I got close a lot of times, but nothing that was in season or shootable).  I bought a set of rain gear that worked well last week as I chased Rosies around the peninsula, but the one thing that failed miserably were my gloves.  I learned there's a big difference between "weather resistant" and "water proof".  My hands were so cold and wet after just an hour that I don't know that I would have even made a good shot if I had one.  Any suggestions on good, warm, dry gloves?

Thanks again for all the help.  It's great having this forum to read and re-learn.  I feel like I did when I first started hunting and I'm sure I will look back and laugh at some of the places I spent hiking around looking for critters.  But hey, that's 90% of the fun.
