Tweekers all over in the area, don't ever park there unattended. :bash:
I've heard from a friend of mine that runs over there that is a bad area, he's had his car broken into twice while parked.
“In common with”..... not so much!!

Would love to see the penalty for stealing to be much more harsh. People have no fear of getting caught

They have a lot of fear of getting caught.  It's just that the power of drugs is more strong than any jail you threaten...

Danderson, I am sorry for your troubles.  Financially it bites but the feeling of being robbed is sickening and enraging.

Kindly do not attempt to cloud the issue with too many facts.

What really sucks the insurance hassle, usually you have to eat it

Sorry to hear this! Like others,  I cannot stand the idea of a thief and being stolen from. I have contemplated mounting a trail cam somewhere in my pickup or near by to watch my pickup when I am out hunting... It probably wouldn't do much except make me feel a little better. I hope you get your items returned.  Material things are one thing, the feelings of being violated and emtional distress are another. Hope your insurance is in line and the process is easy for you.

Nothing to back this up, but there sure seems to be an uptick in crime lately. My own neighborhood has paid for additional patrols due to break-ins and I recently had my dirt bike stolen. I was once told by a successful broker that a leading indicator of the economy was the increase/decrease in petty crime and break-ins.

maybe it's true....???

I know I should have known better than to leave valuables in the truck, never dawned on me since there is quite a few hunters in these parts almost daily, worst part for me is the fact that this is the 4th time I have been robbed and I didn't learn a thing,   I was taught long ago to treat other people with respect as I would expect others to treat me the same, looks like the rules have changed these days, sad.

I had some traps stolen up there and caught a guy in the back of my pickup, so I quit going there.

I went to Costco got a $100.00 dash cam. I had one of those units that is a power supply box you charge up. I have the camera plugged into it so it runs all the time the truck is parked. Will run the camera over a week.
You can also set it up at home and plug the box into regular power to watch certain areas. Playback and see what was lurking at night.

Sorry, but my answer is catch 'em, beat the livin' day lights out of them, to within an inch of their life and post it on social media. The cops can't and won't won't do anything about. They have bigger fish to catch.

Cant say it any better.
