S&W Victory .22 LR
« on: February 11, 2016, 09:16:34 AM »
To the guy considering the S&W Victory semi:    I saw a picture of it in the Cabelas ad that came with this morning's paper.  It appears to me that the M-22A I mentioned having has been discontinued by S&W and replaced with the Victory model.

I picked one up a couple weeks ago, The Victory is a very nice gun. Way better then the 22a. I owned one and had to send it back to S&W twice. Traded it for a buckmark when I got it back. The sw22 Victory is well balanced and comes with a picitiny rail for mounting red dots. Once my extra mags come I plan on putting it to work at steel plate matches.

I'm considering a Victory now that I have seen some reviews on them. I wanted a Ruger 22/45 light for a long time, but I don't like the magazine disconnect and mags not dropping free. also they are a nightmare to take apart for cleaning. If the Victory has drop free mags I wont bother with the Ruger.
