Nice!!!!  What is the fur like on spotted skunks?

 I don't think it's all that nice,its a little thin on fur,but somebody likes it because it sells every year.

 Yes I made them, some have pans and some are pull triggers.
 If anybody needs some 6 inch pvc pipe I can get it free.

Nice!!!!  What is the fur like on spotted skunks?

You have to take care when fleshing. It is real easy to pull the hair through thus damaging them. Some of them will even have spots where the hairs are through to the skin side like an unprimed pelt only more so. It will appear black and you must be careful around that. This seems to happen any time of the season on some so it is not just a primeness thing.
Smaller ones especially are fairly thin furred but if you get a big old male they will have a pretty nice fur.
Interesting thing with the skulls I sold last year. 85% were deformed from a bad sinus infection. Did not effect the value but they had an extra hole in the skull near the eyes.

The bigger ones are easier to skin IMO. Skinning the claws on the little ones is a bit ticklish.
Speaking of ticklish I made a boo boo removing the glands from one today. Let's just say my no spray trap didn't save me.

Got a nice triple today,all three cats were caught within a few hundred yards of each other. They were all hanging around some salmon spawning ponds. One of them is a Big Boy.

No, just a dull two handled fleshing knife. The back of the neck can be tough but you can flesh it backwards there and it comes off pretty good.
