Be careful out there!
« on: December 17, 2015, 05:59:45 PM »
I slipped out to telegraph slough for the last 30 minutes of light tonight. As I was headed back to my truck (wading) my foot felt a squared edge, I fished it out, it was a 2-3' 2x4 with nails every few inches. Someone had stuck it across an obvious crossing! I don't know who or why, but be careful!

A little messed up.  Guys hunt it every day.  Hopefully there are not more of them placed out there.

In archery we have something like the way of the superior man. When the archer misses the center of the target, he turns round and seeks for the cause of his failure in himself.

Couldn't it be just a 2x4 with nails that floated in from the recent flooding? I'm always finding deck boards etc. with nails after high waters. Sounds like it could be a waste of leo's time to report it :dunno:

Probably became water-logged :dunno:

I'm not saying it was for sure put there by someone, but it takes a long time for a piece of wood to become water logged enough to sink, definitely didn't come from ''recent floods'' and usually boards aren't nailed down ''every couple inches'' and if they were most likely wouldn't come loose
