The final decision regarding any particular method of production is very much affected by the nature of the products and the quantity to be produced. Production methods may be broadly classified as Job Production, Batch production and Mass or Flow Production.

Dependent on the process steps needed as well as consumer demand will create a higher/lower $$$$$ of the finished product which will be passed on to the consumer. It is up to the consumer to justify/select a product which will give them the results they expect for their $$$$.
If owning or purchasing a one off is going to make a consumer happy I have no issues. More $$$$ spent on a high end may or may not make me a better hunter so I tend to stick with a product that has a proven track record in my hands.

That being said I do appreciate the beauty of workmanship and innovation that is achieved by Cooper of Montana.

But I would add that I am using a Knight Ultra-Lite ad it is far more expensive than the $250 Knight and it was or is well worth the price I paid for it.  The other thing that off-sets the price a little it is an all season gun for me.  I use it here during Idaho's rifle season and during the ML season.  I really do like quality and the warm trust feeling - not to mention the 6 pounds the rifle weighs especially when you are old and can not sit in a blind most of the day.  + Northern Idaho is not very flat and it is getting steeper every year.

My friend I know that feeling well as "Gravity"is slowly and painfully creeping into our joints every day and I too begin my search to reduce the overall weight of the pack I have carried for years. Just today I was reflecting on how this season took a toll on my bones and how I am going to take moves to reduce the weight factor. The mind says no worries yet at the end of the day and the next morning the body says otherwise.......

In addition I might add that if the "stars align" next year may be multi-season draw for deer for me and adding a scope to the muzzy will have to be off set in respects to "Gravity" one way or another
