Mill creek watershed

So wondering if it is worth lots of points ? I won't draw the big 3 ever so was thinking sled springs, or mill creek I will have 16 points in 2016 and is not even close to drawing a walla walla what you guys think?

The oregon side of the watershed  is very small and that is the extent of my knowledge on Oregon.

I hope it's worth it on the Washington side because that's what I burned my points on this year.

 With all the research and reading up I've been doing on hunting the shed most of what I've read from the Oregon hunters talks about crowds, few elk, and watching a lot of bulls over on the Washington side.

I've been on the Washington side both in 2012 (my tag) and 2013 (dad's).  We camped near the border and were able to talk to a lot of the Oregon guys.  The general consensus was that the WA side was much better.  We saw some bulls come out of the OR side, but they were mediocre six-points or fives.  I think we heard of one or two breaking 300".

In my opinion, that tag is not worth 16 points, but then again, if you're not going to get the big three, what do you do?  I'm in the same boat as you as I think I have 16 elk points.  I wish I had an answer.

That unit is more than just drawing it, it's very tough terrain and physical.  With 16 points I'd just hang and wait for one of the big 3, rifle or bow. Muzzy is just ridiculous, I've been waiting years and with 21 points next year, I'm not counting on drawing for muzzy.  We will see. I wish we could split our points up, or just be able to put a certain amount toward a permit.  I'd take the shed two years in a row!

Thanks for the input ya I'm not wanting to shot a 300 I would like something around 330 mark or at least a Crack at one sled springs has potential but I only need 8 so kinda a waste I'm just worried bout wolves in 6 years eating up the elk in walla walla who knows I guess I will just hold on to them:(

Yeah the wolves will have an affect for sure, the best days for the blues are in the past from what I hear.

I've been hunting the Wilson unit (OR) with a bow since I was a kid and I consider it the toughest place to hunt in the NW. Can someone tell me that the Shed is tougher, and why?

Well in the Shed you'll have to deal with wolves AND BIGFOOT eating the last of the elk we had here....

 The "Shed" is not tough. It's like walking around Green Lake in Seattle. It being tough is only a rumor to keep people out of it.
