Thought I added the picture but I guess not. Here ya go. I can guarantee I won't be targeting these guys till I get some spray proof traps built. If I have a civet show up at a car set it's getting moved asap.

So all the clothes are in the wash but does anyone have any recommendations on getting the smell out of my boots?

There is some stuff that Ted Cantrell sells that you spray on that kills the smell. I cannot remember the name. Maybe Kip will see this.

Well had to shut the doors on the traps for a couple of days cause I'm going out of town for the weekend but ended up catching this nice size rat.

So of Thursday the 4th I hung half of a beaver carcass to see if I could get anything on camera. Checked it the 7th and didn't have any action yet. Checked again on the 10th and still nothing g obvious. Pulled the card anyways and all I had was a hawk and a few other birds hitting it. Just checked again today and 3 hrs after I checked on the 10th  I had a nice looking bobcat on the site. Have a bunch of videos of it coming in and eating on the carcass over the course of a couple days. Looks like I will be moving a trap tomorrow  :IBCOOL:

Hope you get it !! My cat cages haven't been getting touched at all . I know they are starting mating now so I imagine they are occupied with other things  :chuckle:

mating season is the best time of the year for cats. Later the better IMO.

Maybe it's the weather because I've got these cages in prime and proven areas and I'm not getting anything ( except that fox that just digs ) I'm crossing my fingers

Well moved one of my traps to the prebait site. Nothing came in last night to feed on what I left for them. Hopefully this cat gets hungry again and comes lookin for an easy meal in the next few days.

So I went down to dels and got some of that nature's miracle skunk odor remover. Seemed to work pretty good.

On a side not didn't catch that cat last night. But I did get another possum in one of my other sets. Think I will give that set and another set another day or so before I move them.

Are your cat cages pan triggers ? Mine are all conibear trigger and I trim up the wire so small critters( civets )  come and go and don't set it off only cat size animals will trigger the cage. Keep it up

The two traps are pan style triggers and the 3 I've built so far are conibear triggers. I have one of my traps where I had the cat on camera last week the two other ones I built are sitting in a culvert that feeds a beaver pond. I put a bit of castor lure on the upstream side of the culvert hoping they will use it to try to get to the lure. The 2 with pan triggers have been messed with for a few days now. Finally caught the possum last night. Think I might move it closer to the beaver pond tomorrow. The other one might stay for another day or two before it gets moved.
