New bow showed up yesterday, and I imagine Santa will bring me most of what I need to set it up, so I need to start getting some arrows together.
My last bow I ran 400 spine got tip hunters (or expeditions, now I don't remember for sure), cut them to size at sportsmans and screwed in some 125g field points, it out shot me for sure.
I think I want to put a little more effort into my arrows this go round, still plan on running gold tip huntes, but I'm not sure about adjusting foc, or what length I should run.
New bow is a 2014 bear anarchy, draw length is 30.5"/31" depending who measures. Want arrows to pull double duty, gonna start shooting at 60#, just to get some practice in and make sure I get my form back to what it was, then I will probably go uo from there.
Plan on running mechanical heads for turkeys most likely, though not set in stone. Fixed heads for everything else.
What length should I have the arrows cut at? With long draw and higher poundage I was thinking of running 300 spine arrows this time, which according to charts puts me over spine ay 60#, seems like it's somewhat of a non issue to run arrows this way for a short time, but I might be way off on my assumption.
Is there any way to figure foc and have any weights I might need virtually, so I can have everything ordered at one time?
Thanks for any help!
