The price structure is based on SCI scoring inches so a 250-270 inch Stagg might go for 2k and 270-290 will for 3k just as an example. A 330-350 is around 5500-6500 USD which are big staggs which they have all sizes so you get there thinking you want to shoot a 350 inch Stagg but you see one that you really like and only measures 300 which is less money you expected to spend which then go shoot a fallow buck or a ram

When I went to NZ last spring I brought 50 lb home with me as luggage.
Frozen in a styrofoam cooler and checked like a bag. Marked as boneless venison. Wasn't cheap to get it checked from nz to the states but customs was no issue at all with it.

In fact I just had stag steaks for dinner last night and lunch today. 

Every time I think about nz I just want to go back! So much awesome there!
If anyone goes to hunt I would highly encourage adding some time to the trip for general sight seeing and tourist stuff. It's worth it!

I lived in Christchurch 23 years ago.  I sooo love it there.  It kills me I haven't been back for over 11 years.  Would love to do a hunt there, but it's just not feasible.  When the kids are grown that will change.

I think it cost me $300 or more to get that 50 lb home so may not be worth it to everyone but it is an option. Where I went they took all the extra meat and used it in the community so none was wasted.

To clarify I wasn't meaning to step on any toes or prove anything, just share my experience.

I'm happy you shared that obviously Africa I couldn't bring back the meat,Hungary, England & Scotland I couldn't bring it back to Germany either. To a lot of guys that 50 lbs of Stagg meat makes them feel better about hunting international and don't think any of this meat goes to waste it either gets sold to a butcher, or guides will take it home to feed the family and in Africa they give the meat to some of the workers who live very poor so in the end you are helping the community which makes it worth it
