100 yard broadhead competition
« on: December 26, 2015, 07:28:24 PM »
Just curious if there would be any interest in a 100 yard broadhead competition. I have most things lined up just not sure on the amount of interest in this type of competition here in Washington, and dont want to pull the trigger if the interest isnt there.

That would be interesting. I did some impromptu 70 & 80 hard shooting just this month and hit my 18" target every time. Do you have a backdrop that won't destroy the broadhead if we miss?

Nobody has to prove anything. Just like long range rifle ahooting there are people out there that like shooting their bows at longer ranges. Just thought id see if there was any interest in a competition with like minded people.

Dont have a set location as stated above this is just a feeler to see if there is enough interest in it to put all the hard work to get it rolling.

I'm all for the idea of guys destroying more blades, ferrules, arrows and targets.  It's good for the industry.  :chuckle:

I have done the novelty shoots before where you pay $1 or $5 for a shot at 100 yards and if you hit the mark your name goes in a hat for drawing for a game camera or something.

How would your competition work?  I can only see that it would last an hour or so for everyone to take 2 or 3 shots at 100 yards.
Pain is temporary, achieving the goal is worth it.

I didn't say it would be easy, I said it would be worth it.

There is the standing joke at Silver Arrow Bowmen that we have been bribed to put up or moving targets or do a steel target challenge shot!
