I want to see the harvest numbers that support this closure. Shouldn't they be obligated to post it with the closure? How are they gathering the data when harvest reports aren't due until month end? What stops antis from buying a hunting license, cougar permit and submitting a false harvest report?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
What if you tan the hide yourself?

Does everyone that kill a cougar actually have it sealed per the law below?(d) Any person who takes a cougar must notify the department within twenty-four hours of kill (excluding legal state holidays) and provide the hunter's name, date and location of kill, and sex of animal. The raw pelt of a cougar must be sealed by an authorized department employee within seventy-two hours of the notification of kill. Any person who takes a cougar must present the cougar skull, in such a manner that teeth and biological samples can be extracted, to an authorized department employee at the time of sealing.Sent from my iPhone using TapatalkSent from my iPhone using TapatalkYoure required to report a cougar kill within 24 hoursthought it was still 72 hrs to report and an additional 5 days to inspect.

They changed it to 24 hours. You still have 5 days to Seal.
Maybe my calculator needs new batteries, but 24 hrs to report = 1 day, then 72 hrs from that to present = 3 days ~ 1+3 = 4 days.... not counting a weekend or holiday?
