I don't have a picture and if this is a thread jack I'll delete it. But I'm curious about that thing. It seems like it would be the ticket for still hunting and tree standing blacktails. How far can you accurately shoot that free hand?

Probably something like this. Or i was thinking of a single point ar style sling attached to the sling swivel stud on the grip and a a back up line from the sling to the fore stock swivel stud in case the grip stud broke or stripped out.

Here's my Encore in 308, 15" barrel, and weighs in @ 4lbs.. Ruger 44 mag. w/7.5" barrel. Haven't killed anything with either one. Tried hunting with each one quite a few years ago but never kept up with it.

This is my kind of thread! Here are some of the current hunters.

Xp-100 221 fireball

260 rem

30 Herrett. I have a 7mm TCU barrel as well that I never shoot.

480 Ruger

35 Remington

6mm BR

284 win

The MK III sniper edition :chuckle:

338/375 Ruger

And then a few pics in memory of those who are no longer with me.  :'(

243 win

45-70 BFR

There have been more that I don't think I have pictures of.

Hate to be a hater yorke, but bolt action + foreskock + rifle caliber = not a handgun.  You have a bunch of cool pistol grip rifles.  Sorry  :sry:

I could dial out to about 400 yards. Stupid Mk 4 scopes need more elevation adjustment. :chuckle:

I don't entirely disagree; the BATFE does though!

Do I at least get points for the BFR, 480 Ruger, and the MK III 22 and the pile of 41 mag, 44 mag, 454, 460 S&W and 500 S&W revolvers I've had? And to be fair, the 221 Fireball was designed as a handgun round. So are the 30 Herrett, 7mm TCU and my variant of the 338/375 Ruger  .....  ;)

I never declared any of them unawesome.  On the contrary, id love to shoot each one
But most of them dont qualify as a "handgun" by my personal standards.  They all do qualify as "really freakin cool" though
