Hunter missing near Palouse River
« on: December 30, 2015, 10:52:49 AM »
Just got info that a hunter has been missing since yesterday from Spokane. He was hunting down south of St John on the river. Somewhere off of Delong rd and Mulkey rd. They went looking for him today and found his pickup and his dog by the pickup but he isn't around. He may have went into the water. They have a chopper assisting in the search as well. Hopefully they find him. It was cold last night.

Well there is enough snow up above the canyon for there to be tracks but it's a South facing bluff so he might not have left tracks everywhere. I would think you could follow his tracks in the snow. :dunno: Hopefully they don't go to the ice on the water. I haven't been down to the river this winter but it does freeze over in a lot of places.

I can't seem to find anything on the newswires about this, nor on the Spokane County Sheriff page. You would think that it would make the news if he has been missing since yesterday.

Just a sheriff's log report for a missing person. I don't think they know anything except he's missing so far. So no news yet.

The search chopper just went north towards Spokane and some of the search team came back into town. No word yet.

Keeping him and his family in my thoughts and prayers.  Hope this story ends well; we've had way too many end poorly this winter.
