40 ticks between me my dog and niece, 1 broken boot lace, many many miles on the ol' boots, 500 miles on the truck and some vary nice scenery we got this little guy :-)
Got back over early sat morning and it had snowed about 3" and was still snowing. I should have checked it out when the kids and i was over Thursday but i didnt i knew there was snow up there just wasnt sure how much. So any way got over just about daylight and started the ol' truck up the hill but when we got to the road that takes us back to my spot i was a little shacked to see a 5' burm of snow from the snow plow.

we than decided to drive around and check some new areas. We spent half the day driving scouting and getting permission to shed hunt not seeing many bucks without head gear i decided to make a phone call and head across the river to oregon. I called a hound hunting buddy of mine he told me they had been seeing lots of bucks a week ago and this wee everything they had been seeing had dropped so i hit the gas and we were off across the big river and before we knew it we were at his place. Made introductions with his family and my niece. Since we only had 2 hours of daylight left we headed up to the hills so he could show us where we would be heading in the morning then back to his house for dinner and much needed rest. Sunday i opted to hunt an area close to his house that was holding several bucks and a hug migrating heard. (Hes not a shed hunter) so we hit the hill side and everything was looking promising until we started to run into people. Must be the local honey hole we ran into 20 people on foot and 3 on horse back. Oh well had great time managed to find one and had a guy pick one up in front of me. Seen lots of new country and got to catch up with an old friend.
