Target: 300 yards

Deer:  315 yards

Antelope 320 yards

This is all with a Browning A bolt in 270 Winchester. Best cartridge ever invented. Jack O'Connor said so.

Oh, and the scope, Leupold Vari-X III 3.5-10x40.

1000 yds frozen milk jugs, Model 70 Classic SS Boss .300 winmag VXII 3x9.

Nothing fancy just having fun, took a few shots to get the right hold over.  :chuckle:

Handgun was a log across the river from my pasture, haven't ranged it yet, but I know it's over 200 yds.  :yike:

And I was using reloads for my 44 magnum I bought from bighammer.  ;)

Nothing even remotely impressive.  Target was a big rock outcrop distance was I dunno 250yds ish ( I swore we went back later and put the distance finder thingy on it<name of thingy is escaping me>),the  rifle was a 257bob handed to me with a "hey wanna shoot this one", mkay.  Shot it off a shooting stick down on one knee and said I am gonna aim for that whitish spot on the rock, and I hit it.  Was fun.  I kinda miss going shooting.

Ah hahahaha! You made my evening!  I'm such a unethical jerk! Maybe you shouldn't admit to having met me face to face. Few here have! Also a antisocial jerk, it's hard enough for me to read stupid crap let alone have to endure it in person!

1021 yards on a 18x12 steel plate. I was shooting my 308 with 175 smk. Hoping to get my 300 win mag built then trying for 1400 once I find a place to shoot that far.

The .300 Win Mag is a pleasure to drive at distance. My favorite across the board chambering by far.

Yeah I wish I had the funds to just finish the rifle but this long range stuff is expensive. Going to push a 215 Berger and might try the 230 as well.

I've never shot at anything over 300 yards away including targets. I've killed bucks at 270 and 299 yards. I was ringing steel with my 10/22 tack driving bug hole shooter at 200 yards last fall. That was fun.

Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

Not a long shot by any means, but most impressive I've made was on a Mt. Dew bottle at a little over 170yrds. Was out with a friend, and my nephew sighting in a Savage 110E 270 I had just bought at a missile silo outside Great Falls MT. We were standing at the back of my truck with rifles laying in bed. A few guys were shooting at the bottle that was up on the hill. One of them hit just under it and it began rolling down hill. I scooped up gun, bolted round, and shot at it. It exploded.  :yike: I layed rifle back down and continued conversation...lol..Never in a million years could I make again, and know was pure luck, but played it off like I did everyday.  :chuckle: My nephew still thinks I'm the modern day Quigley
Now therefore, please take your weapons, your quiver and thy bow, and go out to the field and hunt game for me

Is it me, or are people getting dumber

I shot BATs at 1600+ meters about 10 or 12 times nothing to it.  :chuckle: But I was using a 20MM Vulcan shooting a 100 round burst, BATs Ballistic Aerial Targets. Indirect fire on jeeps etc. at 3200 meters.
