skagit geese
« on: January 05, 2016, 10:06:44 AM »
when is the hot time to go? my friend went (not for hunting) to the valley this past weekend and showed me video of thousands of them over his area. If I can't get out there this weekend (because of the duck stamp thing coming in the mail) will it still be hot next weekend?

Never done geese before that's why I ask.

October is usually the best.

You can buy your duck stamp at the post office and get it same day.

Oh I always thought January was the hot time, I guess it depends on the migration. From what I've been told, the sakgit valley sounds good throughout hunting season for at least one species.

January is when they jump at grass moving and been shot at daily for several months.  They are very educated by now.

Cut em!
It's not the shells!  It's the shooter!
