I picked up a new gun.

I picked up a new gun.

I've been fondling it. It's still virgin.

I might take it out tomorrow and fire it some.

Well do tell
Hey! I'm not a complete idiot I have parts missing. Though sometimes I wonder.

If you want to make God laugh tell him your plans.

My first Glock...

Glock 20 in 10mm Automatic (near .41mag performance, and 15 + 1 rounds)

I plan to mill out the slide (just forward of the rear sight) and install a Leupold DeltaPoint Pro 2.5 MOA Red dot optic. I hoping to use it for blackbear hunting.

10mm is a great cartridge. One of my faves. Hope you can put a bear in the dirt with it.

It will be a cool set up! Going with the milling  is way better than just a standard mount, the standard mount is a little high for me and it takes a little getting used to but with a RMR the Glock 21 is super fast and accurate.

They make the Glock 40 MOS, but i thought it was to long (6" barrel vs. 4.6" barrel on the G20), so I'm just going to put the optic on the shorter G20.

Cool pic sequence. The G21 is the 4.6" .45 Auto correct? Where did you get the milling done? I've inquired with Lonewolf but haven't heard anything back yet.

The 21 is the standard full size. I have shot the heck out of the long slide 41 (.45 ACP). I put 300 rounds through it the first outing. It pointed well and of course shot hassle free. The 41 is the .45 ACP counterpart to the 40. The model 40 is just more of a good thing!

Thanks.

Yep, bear in the dirt is the goal. I'm just tired of lugging a rifle all over... I think if I call one inside of 50 yards I should be good.

It isn't milled, it's a standard mount. That's why I said you having yours milled is a better option and sets the sight a little lower. Which I feel helps accros the board in how the handgun performs.

Nice collection. Is that a stainless Super Redhawk? I've always lusted for one of those. I regret selling my stainless 6" Security Six (.357 Mag).

Cool. I'd rather support someone local and a site sponsor even better...

For sure a good bullet and 50-75 yards should be very doable.
