New WA resident

Hi Everyone,

I've hunted upland game in the Palouse hills a few times while visiting family, but now I'm going to join you all. I'll be moving from Utah to the Tri-Cities in a few weeks. I'm a life-long hunter (I'm 34), but I've only been hunting birds (waterfowl and upland) for about five years. I've got a four-year-old Drahthaar named Allie who joins in my adventures. If anyone here lives in the area and wants to get together for a hunt, dog training, sporting clays, etc. sometime, shoot me  a PM.

We're going to be really busy with unpacking and such, but I've talked my wife into a hall pass on the 30th and/or 31st because its my birthday. I'm planning go hunting for either waterfowl in WA, or partridge in ID or OR. I don't have a boat, so I'm guessing that waterfowl opportunities will be pretty limited for me this time of year. Is that right? Anyone interested in joining in for either hunt?

Finally, are there any good local clubs to get involved with? Not like private hunting clubs, but dog training or conservation clubs?

Thanks,

Jeff

Lots of hunting areas close to tri cities and usually a lot of birds in the area. You don't need a boat, the dog would be a good thing to have though.
