If you are just starting the out of state game I would buy the huntin fool.  And I would call them today so you can get there January issue.  The first 6 issues cover all the western states starting with January.

I have talked to the go hunt guys and just got a weird feeling from them so I haven't bought there info yet.

If you want to go with a application service I would go with epic outdoors.  They use to be with the huntinfool and are a bunch of good guys to talk with.  Plus I trust them more than I do the guys at cabelas.

What do you mean you got a wierd feeling? A lot of podcasters are big on the gohunt train curious what's it all about. Does hunting fool have general info or just trophy stuff?

I got the feeling that they didn't have a lot of knowledge.  And we're just trying to copy the huntin fool and eastmans to some extent.

What do you mean by general info?

General info in terms of meat hunts, not necessarily trophy hunts. Was under the impression hunting fool was more of a trophy mag

They mostly talk about "trophy" units but they do talk about lesser hunts with better draw odds.
