Got a ram for Christmas
« on: January 07, 2016, 04:40:55 PM »
A neighbor makes sheep out of wool from our local sheep herd.  My wife commissioned one for me so I can have something on the wall until my big one is done.

Before I read the text, I thought wow your ram sure had a lot of ground shrinkage.  :chuckle:

Horns a little short, but nice mass.

Did she pack it home in the dark with no flashlight.  :yike:

Definitely carries the mass well to the end, but yeah, he's only about 5/8 curl.

I got a nice headlamp for Christmas as well.....

So did I, I had one in my pack that day too. But it was at the boat.  :chuckle:

It's even more impressive looking on the wall than in the photos you took after the hunt. Wow.

If that one fell off the wall and hit you in the head atleast it wouldn't hurt as bad! :chuckle: Joking aside that's a cool little mount!

Thanks, our neighbor is very talented.  She makes little sheep for our summer Farmer's Market but also does deer and other animals on request.

Next year or so.  I still have to decide on a pose.  I have decided on a pedestal rather than wall mount.
