Must haves?
« on: January 07, 2016, 06:42:26 PM »
I've got the smokerbug bad... Been using it everyday since I got it. Ibwas wondering is there anything that is a must have? Like a wireless thermometer? Or anything else?

Second set of oven mitts for moving racks around. Otherwise the lady gets pissed...

What smoker? I find my maverick wireless thermometer and thermapen thermometer very useful. And as far as doing long cooks it's imperative that your significant other knows that you have to sit next to the smoker the whole time on a comfortable chair with a drink as it's what helps the food taste so good...

Lol she gets that Ddoudle.... That's y she is going to her friends party on Saturday that I was supposed to go with her to, while I stay home and man the smoker.
I have got a built in thermometer in my smoker. It's a masterbuilt 30 in. Seen mixed opinions innthe thermometer and was looking at the thermopen. I think I'll get one of those next payday. I didn't even think of the extra mitts. That's a good idea. Thanks guys keep them coming.

thermometer for meats an dishes with one for inside the box. If your unit comes with one make sure it's accurate.
Gloves
spray bottle or mop/paintbrush
Todd Johnson amazing pellet smoker. For cold smokes like cheese or use it for hot as well.
Cold beverage and music
Hey! I'm not a complete idiot I have parts missing. Though sometimes I wonder.

Oh yeah, the Amazin smoker is a MUST have.  When your friends taste home smoked cheese, you will be god-like as they will be addicted.
Look man, some times you just gotta roll the dice

Wireless double thermometer is a must.  Silicone gloves are nice, but I would say the thermometer and a smoker is the only thing you need to have.
