Wow - looks like a wonderful trip! I went to Norway with the family
a few years back - so good to see some of the old buildings, culture, lifestyle etc.,

Those are amazing photos!  How long was the flight over there?  Is it easy to get around there speaking only English?

thank you all for the comments

seth it is a 10 hr flight from seatac to Paris or Amsterdam then another 2 + hrs to Budapest, a bit of a grind and time change sucks.

we found that many people can understand and use some English, we did not have any problems. I was going to try and learn some polite phrases in Hungarian... wow, it is a tough language ( for me anyway) :chuckle:

Cool trip!  Budapest or Istanbul are probably the only two cities I'd be interested in visiting in Europe.

Budapest is an incredible place, I was there this summer, and must have walked 50 miles. Went for a run down to and on the island just down from the parliament building, I would love to take the wife back in the future.

we stayed in Pest and spent most of our time there, we did make it to Buda and visit the citadel, Buda castle, Matthias Church.
