At 5.5lb, it's not a fieldscope base.
Doubt I'm helping but I'm out of the spotter business due to weight.(the spotter, not mine!)

Oh well, too late anyway.  It was $79 yesterday.  I need another medium duty tripod and thought that if I could figure out which Manfrotto it was that it may have served my purposes.

Just ordered one.  For $60 it's worth taking a chance on it.

I have one, head will work but it's nothing great. Tripod is solid as a rock!

I use the Manfrotto 128RC video pan heads and will never use the head that comes on it anyway.

I have a manfrotto that I got from Costco a few years ago and it is awesome.  It is heavy but I don't pack it anywhere.  I use in the jeep when scouting.  I love it.

Wow!  Thanks, got it coming.

It is here and the head is nothing to crow about, but the legs are exactly what I was needing.  It is absolutely solid.  I will change out the head with a Manfrotto 128RC and it is going to perfect.
