that's what I was thinking, more morbid than bashing it on your gun or ringing it's neck But whatever works I guess

Seems a lot less stressful to my future dinner.  Head whacking seems to always take a couple of tries for me, and as mentioned, makes a mess.

Actually less morbid!  A pin hole in the back of the head that no one can see.  No ducks in a pile left with missing heads and bloody stumps from those that are challenged at ringing necks and no crushed skulls with eyes hanging out from those that crush or bash the skull.  Leaves your bird looking like a taxidermy specimen!
Cut em!
It's not the shells!  It's the shooter!

This is a great idea, is it more morbid than stomping and bashing a birds head in until the eyes pop out? Lol

Could have used this today I had to go after a cripple in the water today and took me like 5 minutes to kill it. Sucker was tough!

Yeah, it takes forever to drown one that you don't want to ruffle the feathers on.

Looks like the tool would work, we just use a nail, used to bite em till the Bird Flue became more of a reality here. Not sure why but I'm not a fan of neck wringing, irritating to watch people overdue it I guess. One trick that works if you don't have anything handy and want to save a mounter is just hold the bird by the chest and gently squeeze the bird around the back, pushes air out of the lungs, ~1 minute and your done.

I'd probably fall down and embed it into my sternum if I wore that  :chuckle:

This is exactly what I thought of when I watched the video. :chuckle: :chuckle: :chuckle:
