Three of us are going for the first time this year. Sounds like its a great time. I know its in April but anyone have any more info does it cost to camp? Ideas on how many arrows to bring? Maybe post some of your pictures so i can see what its like. Any info is appreciated.

I'm pretty sure it used to be an all Traditional gear shoot.  Maybe you know that, but I didn't see it in your post.

Other than that, I don't have much information.

If your on Facebook go to Traditional Bow Hunters of Washington and scroll down , you will find the flyer . Those that I know that have gone say it's a good time but it is a trad only shoot . If you look it up on Youtube I believe their are a couple videos as well .

Yep, it's trad only.... Sponsored by the Traditional Bowhunters of Washington. It's one of the largest all trad shoots in the U.S. Everyone is welcome, just bring a single string bow and a ton of arrows. We have three loops of targets totaling about 60 targets.... Shoot until your arms fall off. Camping is free. Expect lots of dust and wind. Many, many family groups come with kids of all ages.

What are the distances of the shots? No more than 40 yards? We will be there that Friday night so hope to meet some of you out.

One more week and its time.. Cant wait to try this shoot. Is there going to be someone there who sells gloves or any other supplies? I have a glove but would like to get a better one. We will be there around noon on friday. Who else will be there? Is there a flier with directions?

We had a great time. We pulled into the camping area at 12:30 Friday and it was packed already. Shot C course first met some awesome gentleman who helped my buddy with his bow. Talked with an 86 year old fella that was walking the course, great people. Second course was the B course. That big rock under the goat kept jumping up and eating my arrows. Those arrow eaters can get ya. Course A was a little better for me. Must have been the bigger targets and less rocks. I have never been to a Traditional only shoot and I am very Impressed with all the people we met very friendly and helpful. Great camp neighbors, and there dog really liked BBQ chips. Kept peeing on my tires though. Guess that's what buddy do?? :chuckle: :chuckle: I am not sure how many people where there but I will be there again next year, I have a to get even with that arrow eater.....

Talking to the shoot chairman, the registered count was 374 shooters, plus all the family members and assorted hangers - on. The courses were great and camaderie too. Lots of shared campfires!
