Smelt????????????????????????????????????????????????

Anybody get any smelt yesterday?  I heard that the commercial guys were doing well earlier this week.

Here is the report from Bobs Merchanise, Kelso. I have found their website really handy for daily/weekly updates.



Update as of 5:00pm Friday Jan 23, 2009
Expectations for Saturdays run is poor. Test dipping on Wed. yeilded no smelt. there has been little sign of mamaul or bird activity.
We will drive the river from Lexington to Gearheart at 7:00am and will report here by 7:30am. We drove the river from Lexington to Gearheart few dippers and even fewer smelt, but its going to be a nice day!!! Update as of 7:30am Jan 24, 2009

Years ago did the Smelt thing up in the U.P. of Michigan,  Youpers and Beer, boy it was fun for sure...  Didn't do anything with them except for give them to the guys we meet up with..... Probably saw Sisu and didn't know it...   :chuckle:
