Question about Idaho Moose, Sheep, Goat
« on: February 03, 2009, 10:53:44 PM »
Does anyone know how the Idaho drawings work?  Do they go through everyone's first choices before they move on to second choices?  Or do they do it like WA where they draw someone, offer both choices, and then move on and draw someone else?

Thanks,

Im not 100 percent, but I think you only get to pick ONE species in Idaho :dunno:

They have first choice and second choice listed, so I think you get two choices.

believe first choice first, second choice only if there are leftover tags in that unit, so essentially first choice only.   AND its only one species.

confirmed. SEQUENCE OF DRAW
everyones first choice will be considered before anyones second choice.

the way idaho works is you apply for either sheep, goat, or moose you get 2 choices for area but only your first choice will be given to you unless there are not enough first choice applicants, then after the first draw if there are leftover tags(unpurchased) you can apply for them in the second draw. if you apply for moose goat or sheep you cannot apply for deer, elk, or antelope.

Also, prepare to shell out more cash. I just saw the proposed fee increases! The sheep, goat and moose tags will jump from $1750 to $2100! Not to mention the $158 license required to even apply. That game is too spendy for me to play, should help the already excellent odds get even better for those that can cough up the $$$.
