Nice to see a judge who takes poaching and wasting seriously.  We could use a few of those in King and Pierce Co.s. :bash:

We'd need a couple of things for that to happen here. First, we'd need a WDFW which cares as much about game as they do fish. Secondly, we'd need an administration which supports the efforts of the good men and women in the field to assist them with evidence and liaison with prosecutors to put solid cases together. Lastly, we'd need to have prosecutors and judges who do their jobs fully and understand, like this judge does, that wildlife belongs to all of us and these poachers and wasters are stealing our property, and that it's important to make examples out of them and punish them harshly. We don't have that here. Any of it.

Thank you, Judge Kalbfleisch! I am not a resident of Idaho, but I appreciate that the legal system in that state is taking a strong stand for wildlife.

A 19 year old would think this is Ok? Plus he is already a huge liar and manipulator according to the story. Hope he learns a lesson, but I seriously doubt it.

He has more of a chance of learning his lesson because Idaho doles out some penalties. In this state, it's worth far more to poach and sell wildlife than it costs when you get caught. There's actually an incentive to poach and sell in WA with the penalties being part of the cost of doing business.
