Whos going out of state hunting this spring?
« on: January 20, 2016, 07:24:08 PM »
Any of you fellow turkey hunting fanatics got plans for chasing gobblers out of state this spring?
I myself am headed down to Mexico for a Goulds turkey hunt and then taking off for a 12 day DIY roadtrip to the Midwest where I'm planning to hunt Missouri, Kansas, and Nebraska. Both these hunts have been on my bucket list for over a decade. Needless to say I'm a little bit pumped! :whoo:

Thinking about Montana. Already planning on being there fishing, so maybe I should get a new turkey gun while I'm there and test it out!

A goulds trip to Mexico has been on my bucket list for a long time. Curious who you put it together with and would also like to know how it went when you get back home.  Hope you'll post some good results. Been to Mexico numerous times fishing but I've never tried putting a hunting trip together.

I was invited to Florida to hunt on the Osceola line.  Still trying to decide whether to go or not.  Business has been crazy this year.

The friend told me the best hunting with bow is north of the line.  Same birds but not official Osceola.  South of the line has high success with shotgun, but no one in that group of guys has been able to tag a turkey with the bow there.  Sounds like a good challenge.  Will make up my mind in the next few weeks.
He asked, Do you ever give a short simple answer?  I replied, "Nope."

Shoot, wish I had the $ or time to go to another state and hunt some "thunder chickens!" Good luck to you though and hope you fill a tag in every state you travel to. For me I will just get my 2 tags and fill them here in Eastern Washington.

I chose Rio Sonora outfitters. After doing lots of research they seemed like the best choice to go with. I called several past clients and got outstanding reports from all. The way the whole trip and hunt is set up makes the logistics of the trip very easy
