Correct...but do they have the same receiver, bolt, stock, bedding, trigger, magazine, floor plate, etc? If they are exactly the same then get the one that is cheapest or you like the looks of the most.
I bought a Tikka T3 last week. I was at Cabelas and compared the T3 and the Sako A7 side by side. The Tikka T3 had a much smoother action than the Sako. They looked like the same gun except for Stock color, Gray versus Black. It didn't take me long to see that the Tikka was a much better choice. As a side note, It shot the first three shots in the same hole at 50 yds.

Synthetic/Stainless is the only way to go... especially living on the wet side of the state. Just because it's stainless... don't mean it's shiny... my bead-blasted stainless finish is much less reflective than most blued rifles... and, it's WAY better looking.
is 300 win mag to big for deer?
I would recommend a .308 for deer, bear and coyotes, even short range for elk. Recoil is minimal, and ammo is everywhere.
