Here's mine with 33s...what size tire are you wanting to run? That will determine what size lift you should get....33s and 2-4" would be good...35s and a 6" is a must
Here's my old Tacoma. Eibach springs which gave me about 2.5 inches. I later switched out to Old Man army 885 springs which gave me 3 full inches. Another thing to consider is getting upgraded upper control arms to help keep alignment in spec. I went with Light Racing arms. Also a 2 inch add a leaf. 285/70/17 tires. Really liked this setup.
Before you decide to lift, and the height you want, do some serious research. It's not just about looks or tire clearance. Depending on your suspension system you can get into serious, and expensive issues like drive shaft and pinion angles, u-joint wear, vibrations, steering geometry, brake line length, alignment problems and others. As a rule, the higher you lift, the more each of these become something you will have to deal with. It can get real expensive, real fast once you start correcting the geometry problems that a lift produces.
For you guys with Tacomas I highly suggest saving this link for wheel bearings in the future. Especially with lifts and oversized tires.This guy makes the whole assembly unit that you just have to bolt on instead of having a shop press the old ones out/in. Saves you from the dealership doing it for 700 a side. I recently bought a 2007 Tacoma and am going to be putting a lift in it. I was wondering if anyone could share a picture of your lifted truck.I was thinking a 4 inch lift because a 2 inch seems kind of pointless and six inch seems like too much.But i don't know for sure but anyway here is a picture of my truck.
Thanks for information everyone. I think i am going to do the leveling kit and new tires when my tax return comes in and see how that looks and that should give me time to do more research and determine whether i want to go any further. I may just get steel bumpers and get my winch mounted instead of any lift.I know i wont be going any higher than a 3inch if i get one.

We lift a lot of tacomas, someone said don't use rev tek leveling kit(spacers), don't listen, those are fine if your not building a rock crawler. No matter what lift you get, Tacoma's seem to have an issue with the needle bearings, a lot more if they are lifted. Cheap lifts really screw stuff up, so don't go two dollar cheap. Those heavy steel bumpers, you can put them on there if you want, but they suck for techs to have to work around and if you like your mechanics save them the trouble and don't put one on. There's a lot of pavement pushers out there with lift kits of all styles, remember with a lift your going to be modifying your fender wells also.
