How many of you would support an August archery/muzzleloader bear season on public lands as a compromise to what has been proposed?

Yes, Only if they were to restore tags taken away or add additional tags to what has been proposed.

I like it the way it has been, give them a inch and they will take a mile.

Bear hunting in August is my favorite hunt.
If the August season is closed to rifle, I wont buy a hunting licence in WA next year. I'll be spending all of my hunting dollars out of state. Deer, elk, and bear in ID. Varmints in OR. and deer/black bear in SE AK. It will mean less time hunting for me, especially for yotes .

It sure would be a hell of a lot better than no bear season in august.

The species needs to be managed correctly. Taking away modern firearm from public land in August will not work and is an outrage. All hunters need to band together and fight this issue (And I am a bowhunter.). If we don't it is a victory for anti-hunters everywhere.

NO!!!! I am also complaining about the change in the Cougar regs!!!! I only see cougars in Aug. and Sept. when I am not actively pursuing deer and elk, now I can not hunt them with a rifle!!!!!
until deer season starts.
