Wood duck taxidermy
« on: March 20, 2016, 09:33:37 AM »
When I finally got my first wood duck, it was naturally headed straight to the taxidermist. I discussed how I wanted the mount and when it was completed last week the taxidermist called to let me know it was ready to pickup. However, he was hoping to take it to a show/contest in California if I was alright with that. I just got a text and the following pic from him. I'm really looking forward to getting this mount home now. I'm guessing the taxi will want to keep his ribbons, but they sure would spruce up my collection of "Participant ribbons" that my athletic prowess has garnered me.

That's a Leon Matthews mount if ever I've seen one. Very nice!

That is an awesome mount. I'm not really a waterfowl person but that is a work of art.

It is from Leon at Avian Artistry in Kennewick in deed. Between myself, my brother and my three sons we have had quite a flock of birds done by Leon. If it's got feathers, it's going to Leon.
