Range finder for Golf and Hunting

Anyone have a range finder they use for both hunting and golf? I would use it primarily for golf.
I did a little research on them, and they all seem to say Nikon is the way to go.

I would be interested if anyone has had good experience with rangefinder working for both.

Generally speaking, I'd think anything that worked for hunting would work for golf.  Terrain, obstacles that mess with ranging, weather, angles etc. are more extreme in hunting situations (unless you hunt a golf course  )

Great thanks, I did a little research and websites mentioned golf finders lock onto the closet "object" generally speaking the pin is the closet object between you and the green. Called Pin Seeker technology or something similar depending on the brand..

The hunting range finders seem to want to ignore the closet "object" and not the animal being hunted.

Most hunting rangefinders will return a reading from what the laser beam hits, which is determined by what you aim at. I would be very surprised if the difference between a golf and hunting rangefinder is anything more than a label on the outside of it.

  I've used one of the OG laser rangefinders...the ones as big as a Polaroid camera and people used them for golf but I used it for hunting all the time before I got sick of packing it around
