Shoot or No Shot 2016, Episode #4
« on: January 27, 2016, 08:24:33 AM »
Wow, that was a fine bit of stalking! It's the end of October 2016, rifle season, SW Montana and you find yourself on the 3rd day of your 6 day hunt. Your combination of still hunting and spot/stalk methods this morning has put you at the edge of this high meadow with you know who bedded down straight away  as you reach a pretty open shooting lane at the edge of the meadow.  He's about 150 yards away. Shoot or no shot?

If you say "shoot", save the picture to your desktop and open in MS Paint, you'll be able to place a spot, X, or whatever on the critter before you save it back to a jpg and add the marked up pic with your post.

More then likely would shoot for the red...but at that range would be tempted to put one in one of the pinks..would like to see him run of after a 185 berger hits anyone of those three spots

Even if he got his feet under him after one hit, I'd have another one in him before he knew what happened

I'd shoot him rifle no worries.  It's a lot of gut to get through with an arrow but lacing through the liver with a good broadhead and I don't think that bull makes the timberline.

Kindly do not attempt to cloud the issue with too many facts.
