I contacted George on the Trappers Manual and here is what he told me:

John
Just met with Wdfw and we are going to update this spring.
Don't want to put the soon to be old manual up as that is the problem with Wdfw manual now
George

I agree with George, let put the "New Updated Manual" of the Trappers Manual in here on this forum in spring.

So I think there is the answer. George is working with WDFW to update the current manual by this spring.
We update the current manual and then we get WDFW to put the updated on their site. We could then just provide a link to it here.

Would love the new manual. I would already have a limited copy, but was asked to send a check for it.
Dang I have not even seen a check since like 1998!
Want to get a license to trap but so far stuck at figuring out this retro check issue :)

Go down to your closest WDFW office and just "challenge" the test. 90% or higher, you'll get a card in the mail about a week later and then you can buy a license at any regular dealer...

Next scheduled class is in Saturday August 13 at The Chelan County fairgrounds in Cashmere. Class starts at 9:00 AM,
This is our Summer Rendezvous so we are there Friday through Sunday. You're welcome to spend the weekend.

There will be some classes on the west side later but none of them are scheduled at this time.

Is there a test at the end of the class? After the class is one able to get license?

Yes easy test at end of class. Then I recommend calling the regional office and asking them to enter your trappers Ed number. If you go straight to a tag dealer(where you by your tags) then they end up deleting your hunters Ed number and it screws up you getting a hunting lis or tags. Happened to me and several others this last year
