Depends on the hunt. If you have flowing water or mountain lakes you are pulling from then aquamira drops are money. If elk wallow is gonna be your likely water source then I take the Katadyn.

I use to bring water with me when I went camping, but I stopped that years ago, I drink out of whatever creek or river iam close to,this would be eastern wa. only,have gone camping in spring and drank water that looked like beer,i even bring water home with me in 5gallon jugs,tastes better,i have a MSR plus a Katadyn that I have never used.
Is the Katadyn Hiker PRO Water Filter better then the MSR Sweetwater Filter? I have been using the MSR but it seems like it takes forever to fill up a bottle, just wondering if the Katadyn is quicker and easier to use...
I've seen people make a gravity filter out of a Sawyer Mini/Squeeze. Doesn't seem hard to do, and its cheap to boot!
