The gun of the month game
« on: January 29, 2016, 10:41:29 PM »
With the loss of one of this site's greatest purveyors of illicit gun porn (LLBH!!!), I think we all need to step up and start filling the void. For my part I'm going to put up a profile of a different gun every month. The goal is to keep them interesting and use guns that are a little bit different than the average rifle that you'll see at the range. I'm sure that most of my more interesting projects have been on here before but I'll try and throw out new pics or slightly different info on them this time around. Anybody who wants to jump on board is welcome and encouraged to contribute.

I'll consider the 6.5 BRX AR to be January's gun of the month so I'll get to work on something for February and try to get it posted early next week.

IF this is a guess the gun kind of a deal here's and easy one.

I'll even give you some hints, Short action centerfire, .473 bolt face, tang safety, lighter than a Rem Model 7 and almost 100 years old.

After the first shot the rest are just noise.

I think what he's saying is he's going to choose a rifle a month and profile it.
:fire.:

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

Jay your correct.  Hard to believe Savage was about 50 years ahead of is time, even the 300 Savage looks like an improved wildcat of today, straight body, 30 degree shoulder and short neck, nearly matching 30-06 velocities of the day with 20% less capacity.

Sorry if I mis-interpreted the thread.
