Peopel in eastern VA hunt with dogs all the time... and I'm sure other places. Tradition and perfectly legal. People here hunt cougars and bears. I thought it was cool that they have a well trained dog. Very slick/sneaky.I'm not seeing the problem?
While hunting enthusiasts in some states benefit from the use of hunting dogs to chase or retrieve game, hunters in Washington face strict regulations when hunting with dogs. Permitted uses for dog hunting are primarily when upland bird hunting, with a few species exceptions.Other than that, hunters should keep their animals at home when taking game in order to avoid violating state hunting regulations

Can anyone confirm with certainty? (I'm hoping this wouldn't be another vague law that can be interpreted by who ever is enforcing it at the time?)Still kinda cool little dog.
