First walleye trip ever.
« on: January 30, 2016, 06:11:46 PM »
Fished Thursday,  two limits.  And two were 27"

Friday, we caught and landed one fish all day, except of you count rescuing Captain Silver  :chuckle:

Then caught 6 today before we checked out about noon. ELKRUNNER joined us this morning for his first trip also and caught a nice 24" wally but I roped the weekend trip with a 28", 7 lb beauty,  at least it was for me and my fist wally fishing trip.

That's pretty much what I did. Made 0lqns last year to get at them but did not make it over, so I had some 2015 vacation days I had to use up so I decided now was the time, and I went. Had a blast  :IBCOOL:

That's a great catch. Now that you got it figured out you should really consider releasing those large females. I know its hard to do but every thing we can do to keep this fishery strong will benefit everyone in the long run. The state will not do anything to protect this fishery, so its up to us as sportsman to do are part.

Right on Pete!  That's making meat, man.  A couple of bigs a trip is fine, don't worry about it.
