bowtech rpm 360 and carbon knight
« on: January 31, 2016, 12:32:05 PM »
any one have a rpm 360. i know this bow is from 2014. looking for some insight on some one that shoots and owns one. may be able to get a brand new one for a good deal. i have a had a few bow's over the years. my first was bowtech allegience, pse bow madness 34,mathews chill r. had surgery on my left hand a year ago. it healed well. so now im going to go back to bow hunting again miss shooting and hunting alot! i know there other bows that are probably better. but i like how light the carbon knight is. never shot a rpm 360 saw the reviews. not really any negatives on either bow that i have seen online. dont want to drop a grand just on a bow that is why im looking at these two. starting from scratch. so i will have to buy a case, arrows etc. thinking of taking a look at the br33 from bear archery as well.

If you have the Mathews Chill R I don't see where you would increase your pleasure or success with either of these bows.  360 has a superior grip and CPX limbs which are nice.  Carbon Knight is carbon which is cool, but over the Chill R it's only a slight improvement on weight.  Chill R limb is much better IMO.  As is the cam compared to the two you mentioned.

Other than brace height the Chill R and BR33 compare to one another quite well.  BR33 being more stable.  Chill R being faster.  Both stiff risers, both quiet, both smooth to draw, both 33-33.125" A2A.  IMO if you already have the Chill R there is no reason to get a BR33 unless you have troubles with string interference while wearing winter clothes.

I'm not a 6" brace height fan.  With that said the Chill R is every bit the bow the three mentioned are.  I'd would keep my money and stay with the Mathews!  Use the money to up grade to a new RipCord rest, high grade arrow, premium sight, kick arse release and Savora broadheads :chuckle:  You will likely get more in return adding those accessories than you will changing from the Chill R to any of the three bows mentioned.

If you decide to go with the knight, let me know. I just upgraded to the overdrive. Loved the knight, but got a deal on the overdrive. (Work paid for it on their health and wellness program)  Knight is getting a new string installed now.

If you sold the Chill R already and are looking at a new bow on your list of three I would shoot both the BR33 and the Bowtech 360.  See if the heavy weight of the 360 is a bit too much for your liking.  It's a nice bow, but for many western hunters having a bow that is close to five pounds and carries like it's six pounds is a bit much.  BR33 is a little on the heavy side too.  But much more stable, quieter, nicer to shoot IMO.  But after shooting the 360 you may go into speed shock ;)

Corey at xXx often has some screaming deals on past year model Bowtechs.  Last year he had the Experience at nearly the same price as the Carbon Knight. :o  I kick myself for not buying one for every nephew and friend at that price.  It was a crazy good deal!!  Both he and Archery World give good service.

I myself have chosen the BR33 due to it's stiff riser, smooth draw, stealth and stability.  But I'm opinionated, the people at Bear treat me REALLY good, and I have zero budget restraints when it comes to getting new bows to play with.  Even my hunting partners don't agree with me on bows most of the time. My show support crew, D-Rock and MLBowhunting, don't usually choose the same bow I do either.  We all have our own taste and favorite flavors.  Maybe you should shoot them both and then decide.

Thank you for fixing the PM box.  I sent a PM response too.

I have an RPM360 and no complaints. I've had Matthews and Hoyt and they're smooth bows. Liked them both. Shot a PSE "speed bow" once and hated it. One shot and back on the shelf. Was a little hesitant about the 360 since it's so fast but it has speed and is smooth, not what I expected. I like it a lot. Fast, accurate, smooth... I'd get it again. Are there better bows? Of course, always will be no matter what you get. Only question is if you'll be happy with it and only one way to answer that
