Control Board Solder Points for w80
« on: January 26, 2009, 09:49:21 PM »
I have been following the homebrew trailcam and I am testing out the camera I built. While I was on Yeticam's website I read about soldering some points on the back of my control board. I didn't solder any and the camera seems to work fine. I got 176 photos of some masked bandits raiding my deer feed pile. I was just wondering if I am suppose to solder any of the terminals on the back of the control board?

Mine came with them already soldered when I ordered a control board for the W80. So if you ordered that you are ok. If it works, use it. Have fun

Septemberfan, The jumper pads on the boards come already soldered. Nice job on the camera. Thanks for posting.

Thanks for the clarification. Now I just need to get the deer to come in instead of the raccoons!  :bash:

Get a trace mineral block, and the deer and elk will come.

Right behind the raccoon is a trace mineral block.  I have watched several deer walk up and smell it then walk away.  I have never seen one lick it.  I have had it there almost a month. I recently began the deer feed so hopefully I will get some that way.  Of course blacktails seem to ignore most stuff I have tried.

I get three to five hundred pics a day at a mineral lick, but those licks have been
there for many years.
