What type of hound dog is she?
« on: February 07, 2016, 11:43:15 AM »
Just curious on what type of hound dog people may think she is? I get it as far as a hound dog can be mixed around a bit. I would say Black and Tan but she does have two white feet and a white patch on her chest, is that normal. She is 17 weeks old, I rehomed her with no info. Any opinions or info would be appreciated. Thanks!

I wish that was the case, I love beagles! I had text the previous owner and he said he did not know much about hound dogs but the mom was about 50 pounds and the dad was around 60 both hounds. I'm just curious, but it does not make any difference, she is a awesome dog. She has a great bay about her and a nose to the ground. I was thinking maybe some walker?

Yeah, maybe some walker/black and tan.  It's tough to tell.  I can't even tell you what my hounds are.... Hunting stock often is of unknown linage.

Agreed, like Hasty said, there might be some beagle in there too?

Could be a walker/redbone or running dog cross.

 :yeah:

That head looked beagle to me in the first pic.  But in the 2nd pic I see a redbone face.

This is Luke he's a walker and bluetick cross. First picture is when he was 4 months old and the other two are 8 months old. I see similarities.

Nice looking little hound.  Looks like some bluetick for sure. I wouldn't bet on walker, not much white on her.

That's just what I was told. He came from a family that didn't realize just how energetic they are. Thanks I think he's a dang good looking dog too.
