Outstanding Jager, its nice to see someone put a real effort into one of these OIL tags. So many people simply apply because their frinds do and shoot the first one they see, never fully understanding the opportunity they have been given. Congratulations on a fantastic hunt and trophy, you earned it

There's not enough in just the word "THANKS" to explain how much it means to us who may never get to hunt sheep. You've shared a very detailed encounter  with the rest of us so we feel like we were actualy on the hunt by your side. I'm speachless.... Congratulations on a great accomplishment and ...thanks for sharing it with us.

Thanks for the complements everyone! I really appreciate them!
I know the story was beyond long....but I really couldn't shorten it.
In fact the post was so big I had to enter it in 2 parts.  :dunno:
Glad all that read it liked it.

If you've been, you know what it's like.
I hope you all get drawn. It's awesome.

I'm putting in for three states this year, as well as a few raffles.
That sheep bug is relentless!

The rifle is a Winchester model 70 featherweight, .270 win. short mag. (wsm)

Thanks again and Good Luck!   :brew:
