2016 Magpul CORE Training Schedule
« on: February 25, 2016, 06:00:51 AM »
Gents, Magpul CORE's 2016 training schedule has been released for the first half of the season.  We're waiting a month or so to release the second half of the season due to some existing projects in the works, so keep your eyes on this thread for the second half of the year.

We've got a couple new offerings this year that we're branching into that I think will be valuable to folks inside the shooting community, and outside of it as well.  We're introducing Wilderness Navigator, which is a course solely focused on navigating with a map and compass.  It's a lost art, and it's dying more and more everyday.  For two days you'll be taught how to confidently interpret a map, use a compass, and navigate with both dead reckoning and terrain association.  For anyone that spends time in the backcountry, or for the folks that are interested in adventure racing, this is a course that's going to be a big benefit.  For hunters, this course is also going to extremely helpful for scouting new areas, locating game, and planning routes.

Another new offering is our Tactical Movement and Concealment course.  This is purely a fieldcraft course, which will cover all aspects of individual camouflage, techniques of movement, and selecting and building positions in rural environments.  Yep, it's a stalking course and for three days you'll get familiar with the dirt and the weeds.  You'll be learning tricks from snipers on how to select a route, execute your movement while remaining concealed, and building a firing position.  This course isn't just meant for snipers, it's meant of anyone who wants to learn the finer points of remaining concealed in any environment, especially the western hunter.

We'll be offering the same line of precision rifle, and precision hunter courses this year as we always have in the past.  If you're interested head over to www.magpulcore.com and get yourself registered.
